Travelling by Plane

Exit on the Swiss side of Geneva Airport.

With a hire car, follow signs for France as you leave the airport, passing through several tunnels and through the border control at Bardonnex. Then follow signs for Chamonix/Mt Blanc on the A40. Click on the ' Travel by Car' tab for detailed directions after that.

You will need some coins for the tolls.

Nearest railway station: Cluses (taxi from Cluses to Samoëns: about 15 minutes:)

Note that when dialling from outside France drop the first zero after adding the country code i.e. (00 33) 4 50 etc

Airport ski bus

In winter there are three-times-daily ski buses direct from the airport at 11.30, 14.35 and 18.30 (with an extra one at 13.00 on Saturdays).

Note :  For Samoëns you get off at Taninges and a taxi will take you the last 8 kilometres to Samoëns. This is included in the ticket price.
